Carpet and Rug drying times in the winter
People are often concerned about drying times during the winter, we can now reasure all of our customers that this need not be a concern any more.
We employ three different methods when we clean carpets, dry cleaning using micro sponges will enable the carpet or rug to be dry almost instantly, micro sponges are an effective and very safe way of cleaning and often used on sea-grass or fine rugs with silk content.
Low moisture cleaning is a very effective way to clean man made low profile carpet. This is often found in commercial premises or rental properties. A thorough vacuum to begin with is important, followed by a liberal application of micro splitting solution, a Charley or cotton bonnet pad is then used in conjunction with a rotary machine, working across the weft and warp, soils and stains are effectively removed, with carpets drying within one hour.
Using an extraction system is the most popular carpet cleaning method, although the ability of machines differ greatly. After pre-vacuuming, carpets will then receive an application of micro splitting solution, this is agitated using a contra rotating brush machine. Suspended soils are then removed with a hot water rinsing system, don’t forget, the drier the carpet, the more soil removal! Drying times can be reduced by using a turbo drier, although when we use our Hydramaster van mounted system with high water lift and moderate psi, the drying time is one hour, even if it is a cold and rainy day.
Our services include anti static treatments, allergy treatments, spot and stain treatments, using safe toxin free solutions. We are operating in South London, Kent, Sussex and Surrey.

Carpet cleaning - Before and after images.
Whilst cleaning carpets in Hove recently, we decided to take a couple of before and after photographs. The carpeted area we were cleaning had been affected by an extremely large wine stain.
The affected area has also a white wine stain, thrown over the red wine in an attempt to lessen the staining, please look at our hints and tips page for advice on stain removal ~

Ater twenty minutes of gentle agitation and stain treatments (all non toxic) the wine staining has gone. Our natural carpet cleaning process is surprisingly effective.
Carpet cleaning in Meads, Eastbourne
We visited a regular client today after an emergency call, our customer lives in Meads in Eastbourne, over the weekend, Eastbourne hosted its Airbourne show, which ended in a call to us.
On Saturday whilst Airbourne was in full flow, my customer was watching television with her living room window open, a jet flew past above her property this caused a frightened young Seagull to fly into her home.
The bird flew frantically around for more than thirty minutes before capture, unfortunately in this time he managed to spread droppings over the sofa, rug and carpets in three rooms. Bird dirt is usually high in alkali, which can have a very negative effect on carpet and upholstery fibres.
After a thorough vacuum and pre-treatment, we used our Envirodry carpet cleaning agitator, this removed a large quantity of stains before we started cleaning. A final ‘rinse’ using our Hydramaster cleaning system restored our customers rug, carpets and upholstery back to their original condition, much to our client’s relief.
Affectionately known as ‘Simon’ the bird flew off with no lasting damage, hopefully Simon will fly off to Hailsham or Heathfield next year!
Carpet cleaning after Gay Pride, Brighton
We were called in to a customers house last week to clean up after a big house party, the celebrations had continued after Brighton Gay Pride at our customers flat. Coffee, wine and beer had been spilt, fortunately our customer had remembered our conversation on a previous meeting, blotting with non colour fast towels, one moist and one dry, which had removed a large amount of the spillages.
We pre-vacuumed and agitated, using a second generation micro splitting solution, this removed the majority of the staining before extracting with a Ninja machine. In recent weeks we have purchased an Envirodry Generation 4 agitation machine, not only does it massage solution into the carpet fibres, it brushes a lot out, even after vacuuming.
Our customers were pleased to see their carpet back to as new condition, the party will be at someone else’s house next year!
Customer question in Hove, Sussex
We spend much of our time working in Brighton & Hove, the natural approach we have taken relating to carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning seems to be well received by our customers in this area. I spent time in Raphael Road in Hove recently cleaning upholstery and carpets, the home owner asked my why I decided to change to this ECO system, here are some of my answers ~
Benefits to our customers and their families by reducing their exposure to chemicals, why on earth use any other carpet and upholstery cleaning solutions?
After seeing the results achieved using plant based products, the decision was easy, the end result was in my opinion better, with no exposure to chemicals with high acid or alkali content.
I used to suffer with fatigue and head aches after a long day cleaning carpets or upholstery, this ended as soon as our cleaning regime altered, I feel considerably better each day now.
My equipment seems to appreciate the change too, acids and alkali solutions travelling in and out of our cleaning equipment actually reduced the life of pumps and vacuum motors, particularly if large quantities of detergent (foam) managed to reach the vacuum units.
Knowing that my cleaning solutions would not damage soft furnishings, carpets or rugs. Some traditional products can cause irreparable long term damage.
More and more new customers specify ‘non toxic cleaning’ people are digesting information available and are able to make intelligent decisions, demanding the best service for their family.
