Why trade qualifications and associations are important.
Open the newspaper or even a directory and you will find many companies offering their services, plumbers, electricians, carpet cleaners, chimney sweeps and many more, but who do you choose and why.
It is extremely important to distinguish the professionals from the not so professional, always look for trade qualifications such as City and Guilds, Corgi Registration and in our case as a carpet cleaning company, the National Carpet Cleaners Association.
The N.C.C.A requires members to attend courses and pass examinations, only then can you apply to join. This is preferable to simply sending off a cheque to join an organisation.
We are Trading Standards approved too, a Trading Standards Officer visited our office for around five hours, there were many requirements, including the officer contacting ten of our clients to gain references. If a company is displaying the Trading Standards Logo, you can be assured that they have had to go through a detailed process before becoming members.
Watch out for leaflets or advertisements that only display a mobile phone number or do not include a website with the companies address.
We do not cold call, some businesses will telephone you or even turn up on your doorstep offering their services, we feel that if you require our services, we can be easily found via the internet or in a directory.
